Being A Go-Giver
Bob – Shift your focus from getting to giving. When we say giving, we simply mean constantly and consistently providing immense value to others. Understand that doing so is not only a more fulfilling way of conducting business, it’s the most financially profitable way as well.
When you’re that person who takes your focus off of yourself and instead place it on serving others, discovering what they need, what they want, what they desire, people feel good about you too.
Actually, they feel great about you. They want to get to know you. They like you. They trust you. They want to be in a relationship with you. They want to do business with you. They want to tell the world about you.
When you build business that way, it’s also a lot more fun. It’s a lot less stressful, and it’s a lot more profitable.
Strong Communication Skills
Bob – You’ve got to be able to make that connection. You’ve got to be able to connect on a heart-to-heart level with that other person. And it’s in the communication process.
It’s less about what you say than about the feelings you’re able to transmit, and that happens because your focus is on that other person and you’re thinking about them.
That’s communication. It’s how you frame it and then how you make it happen.
